We are thrilled to announce a significant update to our Bright Green Homes Scheme – the household salary cap has been raised from £31,000 to £36,000! This increase opens up opportunities for more households to benefit from FREE low-carbon, energy-efficient upgrades across the South West region.
What is the Bright Green Homes Scheme?
Bristol City Leap is delivering the Bright Green Homes project in partnership with Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council, and Bath and Northeast Somerset Council. This initiative aims to facilitate the free installation of various insulation and low-carbon technologies in eligible households, including cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, underfloor insulation, air source heat pumps, and solar PV.
Who is Eligible?
Households that meet the following criteria are eligible for the Bright Green Homes Scheme:
- Currently using Electric, Oil, LPG, or Solid Fuel heating (homes with gas central heating are not eligible).
- Energy Performance Certificate rating of G, F, E, or D.
- Reside in Bristol City, North Somerset, or Bath or Northeast Somerset Council areas.
- Annual household income of £36,000 or lower.
Note: If your home is located in one of the three lowest postcodes on the Indices of Multiple Deprivation list, you do not need to meet the annual household income cap. This can be checked here: IMD Postcode Checker
Act Fast: Limited Funding Available!
The Bright Green Homes Scheme is set to conclude by March 2025. Given the high demand and limited funding, we encourage eligible households to complete our registration questionnaire promptly.
